Earlier this year I fabricated a forest of oversized flowers to flank the altar space at my wedding ceremony. I married the love of my freakin life on February 22nd at our favorite place in the world-- under the big tree at Mead Botanical Garden.
The pieces came together so well, and each flower felt like a little love letter to my husband. The red rose and bud on stems that have thorns, to allude to a game we play with our daughter every night at the dinner table, and a hibiscus to symbolize a flower that lived in the backyard of our first home, among others being an homage to some of our favorite flowers. The theme of our wedding became "Nothing But Flowers", equally balancing our love of Talking Heads, as well as a nod to the growth within ourselves and the abundance in our futures.
When we were finalizing our layout in the weeks leading up to the wedding we decided to also use the flowers in our reception hall, on the stage behind our sweetheart table. Truly the best last minute idea, as these flower brought such a special and uplifting energy to the space. Our dear friend and wedding coordinator had the brilliant idea to illuminate them with sunset lamps, and it brought our vision over the top.
I write all of this to you today to share that these flowers and my floral creation services are now available for hire! I can envision this flower forest being recreated in so many different ways. Want to rent these blooms for an event you have coming up? Or maybe you want to work together and create something custom for a project you have in the making? A shop window? A baby shower? A summer picnic? A random Tuesday afternoon? Any and all of the above, let’s connect. I'm your girl.
